Hey Hi!
I started this space as a blog to share my love of travel and our family adventures. Since then, I’ve become a certified travel advisor—helping others plan vacations, discover new places, and make meaningful memories.
The chapters of my life have taken me to a different continent with each decade. I’ve lived in the UK, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and now the USA. In 2019, my family and I moved to Hatteras Island in the Outer Banks—a chain of small barrier islands off the coast of North Carolina. It’s a warm, tight-knit coastal community and an amazing place to call home.
My background includes years in the events industry and luxury hospitality, which gave me the opportunity to travel widely and live in many different countries. Those experiences continue to shape my perspective, my curiosity, and my passion for helping others explore the world.

Living on a sandbar! Hatteras Island is my home at the beach. And if I’m not here, then you’ll find me on a family adventure to some far-flung destination, or embarking on my own barefoot escape when I can.
Island Attic Avon. I work here through the busy summer months. It’s a colorful gift shop, selling Balinese furniture, handicrafts, global fair trade goods, and local art. This where I bring a little international flair to my island life.

Mom-on-the-run! When I’m not going between the shop and planning travel, my family life is filled with driving kids to surf, tennis, basketball activities—and finding time to enjoy this special island we call home. Having NC 12 South in my view for my daily commute—I wouldn’t have it any other way!!
